Welcome to Doumar’s, where every day is Ice Cream Day!

We create our own creamy shakes, ice cream sundaes and more just the way they were made when your grandparents were kids. As the home of the original waffle cone, we believe in creating great traditions and keeping them going. You’ll love our handmade waffle cones, rolled right in front of your eyes on the original four iron waffle machine, built in 1905. When the weather is nice, you can find a member of the Doumar family and the waffle machine parked right outside of the diner, so your family can watch the magic happen from the car.

Doumar's is proud to create its own creamy desserts, ice cream cones, North Carolina-style barbecue, limeades, and hamburgers - all by hand and from scratch!
